Lorraine Duson is no stranger to the subject of character development. At the age of sixty, she is continually working on and developing Christ like character in her own life. She recognized and had a burden to help troubled youth live an abundant life through Jesus Christ in a troubled world. For many years, whenever an opportunity arises, she encourages and help youth, young adults, children and even adults develop character qualities that are pleasing to God, their families, and neighbors. In her insightful book, “Old Man New Man” Character Activities and Study Guide, she created activities for the serious person an inspiring, motivating, and fun way to learn Christ like character qualities. She strongly recommends her book for anyone looking for help in the area of healing a marred soul.

Lorraine, answered the call to ministry in 1985 and continued as the CEO, founder, and pastor of the Shekinah Worship Center, and childcare facility until she became disabled in 2011 and had to stop. Although, she continues to face many challenging health issues, she continues to pray to do God’s will. She is the CEO and founder of The Shekinah International Ministries of Philadelphia. Inc. Dr. Duson, graduated from Jameson School of Theology with a Doctorate Degree in Theology in 2016. Over 20 years she has taught the Word of God, and has witnessed the impact and change in the lives of youth, children and adults.

Her passion is to help families, and her community to learn about the love of God, reduce and eliminate dysfunction in families, violence among youth, prison incarceration and crime on the streets.

By developing an awareness of self, and understanding character deficiencies, Lorraine believes that it would help not only youth and children, but any individual seeking to become a better person face their character weaknesses and replace them with positive character qualities in the Word of God, like love, faith, humility, etc. She believes that through the material in her book it will help youth and children become new creations in Jesus Christ.

Lorraine, believes developing positive character in the lives of our youth and children, will enable them to become productive, and successful citizens able to give back to their families, communities and make society a better place to live.
